Notice of MADE Special General Meeting

MADE is undergoing a period of change. Change can be challenging, but we're facing it head on with optimism, integrity and love for our collective practice of dance in mind.

In the last month the MADE Board has been working with the indelible outgoing Executive Producer, Carin Mistry, looking critically and fondly at the future of MADE and how best to support its core values and vision. The MADE Board is looking forward to new funding avenues to extend the organisation's performance outcomes and for fresh opportunities to grow in directions that feel both organic and exciting for all involved.

It is without doubt that the imprint of Carin's expertise and nurturing approach of leading MADE, its people and the organisation's endeavours will be felt for a long time to come. The continuation of MADE's signature site-specific works in civic spaces; three in-theatre 'distinctly MADE' works taken to new audiences North and South; engaging local, national and international choreographers; dynamic new North West community connections; increased national presence via an ABC online film, workshops at Dancenorth in Townsville and company representation at national performing arts exchanges - all activities undertaken by MADE during Carin's time with us. We will be keeping a keen eye on what waves Carin is next to make in the industry and wish her every success in her following projects.
